Launched in March 2004, Glasgow: Scotland with style® took its inspiration from Glasgow’s world renowned cultural icon, Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the Glasgow style movement of the early 1900s.
The brand has been developed with the objective of generating the customers to sustain investments already made in the city region’s visitor and business infrastructure and to attract new customers.
Since the brand launch to December 2006, an additional 360,000 visitors have come to the city, resulting in £41.7 million in economic benefit.
At Glasgow City Marketing Bureau our role is to reposition the destination in our international and national markets and fulfil the role of brand brokers engaging with business to multiply brand exposure and deliver tangible results through wider recognition of the city’s values.
